New Couch

**** UPDATED WITH PICTURES ****

So, we've been needing a new couch for a while now. We really hadn't done too much looking around or anything but recently on a trip to the mall (the last place you would expect to shop for a couch) we noticed that they had a super mega clearance liquidation furniture store in the mall. Greg decided to humor me and go in and look around. After looking for a while and much talk and measuring we went home and looked at the measurements and talked more. The next day I called and did some price negotiations to get the price more to my liking. They, eager to sell, agreed to a lower price and that was that. So, about a week ago the couch was delivered. I've been SO "busy" enjoying the new couch I've not gotten much else done. This also explains the lack of a recent post.

Here it is... the new couch! It's very nice and comfy and as you can see Pigeon really likes it too!
As a reminder, this is what the old couch looked like. Complete with it's almost constant fixture of a sleeping Greg with kitty buddies on him.

I'm so glad we got a new couch. It's made it a lot easier for us to hang out with friends and family and made the living room look a lot nicer. And for all of those that might worry about the fate of our lovely old green couch... we will have it. It got moved upstairs into the office so we have a seating area up there too. Yay!!

Enjoying Nature

Yesterday we all took a trip to the NC Arboretum to enjoy being outside and get a little exercise. We picked the Nature Garden Trail and walked it's full length to the Baker Exhibit building where there was some interactive art stuff outside but not a lot going on inside. Then we walked up a ways through the garden area to get to the main building. On the way (almost right next to the main building) they have a really nice outdoor bonsai garden. It's gated so you can't get to it all the time but we were lucky, it had opened just before we got to it. They have several differnt sections that led up the hill from the garden towards the main building. The plants were beautiful. Delilah's favorite part was the mini waterfall they had. They did their best to make the area match the exhibited plants. It was very simple yet nice, very zen! We are now considering getting a membership so that we can go more often since we all seemed to enjoy it and it's nice to do something as a family that doesn't involve sitting around inside.
